# Create a chatbot

> Choose a bot name, source website, and Claude model

In the dashboard, open Chatbots → Create chatbot and enter a name for managing the bot and a source URL for its answers. The settings screen opens after creation, and the bot is saved as a **draft**.

| Field | Details |
| - | - |
| Chatbot name | The name used to identify the bot in the dashboard. Up to 80 characters |
| Source URL | A public HTTPS website URL. Up to 250 characters |
| AI provider | Claude |

In the settings screen, you can choose Claude Haiku 4.5 or Claude Sonnet 5. Model availability also depends on the permissions of your API key. Adjust the [Answer scope](/en/bots/resources) and [Chat appearance](/en/bots/customize) as needed, then proceed to [Test and publish](/en/bots/test-and-publish).
