You can change the following fields in the bot's settings screen.

| Field | Usage |
| - | - |
| Chat title | The name shown in the chat |
| Welcome message | The message shown when a conversation starts |
| Suggested questions | Buttons shown at the start of a conversation. One per line, up to 5 |
| Primary color | A 6-digit HEX color |
| Answer instructions | Instructions for tone and response guidelines |
| Model | Claude Haiku 4.5 or Claude Sonnet 5 |

## Bot language

Set Default bot language to 日本語 or English. This controls the widget and AI answer language independently of the dashboard language. The answer language setting takes precedence over language requests in answer instructions. Save changes and [Test](/en/bots/test-and-publish) the answers.

Under English display content, enter an English chat title, welcome message, and suggested questions. Empty English titles and welcome messages fall back to the base display content. Suggested questions use the base content until you edit the English field; if you edit it and leave it empty, no suggested questions are displayed. Base content is not automatically translated.

To embed the same bot on Japanese and English pages, use the [Embed code language setting](/en/embed/install#set-the-language-for-each-site).

Answer instructions do not allow the bot to use information outside registered URLs as a cited website answer. After changing appearance or response guidelines, [Test](/en/bots/test-and-publish) that the bot behaves as expected.
