Ask questions under Test in the bot’s settings screen and check the answers and citation links. You can also test an unsaved model, answer language, instructions, and source URLs. These settings do not affect the live widget until saved. Changing settings starts a new test conversation.

Before publishing

  1. Add an API key and check that answers use your website’s content.
  2. Test questions outside registered URLs and questions without supporting information.
  3. Add the correct origin under Allowed sites → Allowed origins.
  4. Check Question limits.
  5. Enable Publish chatbot and save.
For bots used in both languages, also check the Bot language and display content. Switching the dashboard language alone does not change the bot’s answer language. After publishing, check the display and answer language on each site where you embed the bot. Once published, copy the code from Embed on your site. Draft bots cannot be used on the target site. Dashboard tests and public widgets have separate usage limits.
